Four commitments govern everything we publish.

We link to original material.

Every story points to the primary source: the document, the hearing, the footage, or the official statement. You never have to take our word for it.

We distinguish fact from allegation.

Confirmed by the record and alleged but unproven are not the same thing, and we never blur them together to make a story sound bigger.

We explain what would change our assessment.

Every credibility score comes with a rationale, including what new evidence would raise or lower it. Our judgments are falsifiable, not final.

We correct the record when new evidence emerges.

When a story develops or we make a mistake, we update it openly and say what changed, rather than quietly editing the past.

How we source and score

Every story is evaluated against a transparent framework and given a credibility score from 0 to 100, along with a source tier. We weight primary government documents, named officials, peer-reviewed work, and corroboration from multiple independent outlets far above anonymous claims and social posts. We build from the public record. Our standing reference library links directly to AARO, ODNI, NASA, Congress, the Department of Defense, and the GAO, so the underlying material is always one click away.

Corrections policy

We treat accuracy as the product. If we publish something that is wrong, we fix it promptly and transparently.

How to report an error. Email contact@theveil.media with the issue and a link to the item. We review every report.

What we do. For a clear factual error, we correct the text and add a dated correction note explaining what was wrong and what it now says. For a story that simply develops, we update it and note the change. We do not silently delete or rewrite published claims to hide that they were made.

Credibility changes. If new evidence moves a story's credibility score, we update the score and the rationale, and note that it changed. A revised score is a feature of the system working, not an embarrassment to bury.

Updates and timestamps

UAP stories move. A claim that looks thin on Sunday can be corroborated by Wednesday, and a sensational report can collapse just as fast. When a story we have covered changes in a way that matters, we mark it with a dated update so you can see how our understanding evolved, rather than presenting a moving target as if it were settled fact.
